Elevation

​Sometimes worry consumes life and everything can feel so pressing. Do this, complete that, responsibilities around every corner. Then when life slows down either due to a pain or a moment of calm or a simple change in elevation, perspective changes and life goes from dull and full of tasks to awe inspiring and grand. Moving to a point where the horizon is visible in every direction brings a new sense of awareness. The towering buildings of offices and classrooms shrink below and people become insignificant. The problems and urgent messages the masses send become meaningless when the horizon is the new scale used to measure the map of life. Sounds of cars, buses, and the feeling of constantly being surrounded fade. Life is more alone up in the sky but is it a lack of connection to the business or is this a new feeling of connection to the earth when the achievements of man feel so small and insignificant on the scope of the horizon that stretches and circles without beginning or end? When elevation changes perspective finds new meaning and one must work to capture this new sense of self awareness to bottle and carry down not just for the individual but for everyone in the web surrounding that life.
